QUESTION: I understand that your initial Class 1A flight physical is approved by a flight surgeon at Ft. Rucker before you leave your home station. After you take your initial Class 1A flight physical, do you have to take another one at Ft. Rucker BEFORE you begin flight training? Or will your initial physical carry you through the 18th month for which it is valid?

Also, I heard that once you pass your initial Class 1A that, if needed, it is easier to get a waiver. True or False? Or is that for AFTER you have completed IERW training?

I'm just thinking worst case scenario, I pass my first Class 1A hear at my home station and go to Ft. Rucker and fail theirs.

Thanks.

Yes you will have to take another physical prior to starting flught school. If you passed the first one you should have no problem passing the one at Rucker unless you lied about something. Let me know if you have anymore questions and I'll try to answer them.
