Compared to
daytime operations, NVG flight operations are subject to several inherent
limitations such as added helmet weight, limited field of views, reduced
visual acuity, viewing distances, and depth perception. When these limitations are combined with
the requirement for conducting NVG operations in combat, the stress
experienced by aviators is dramatically increased. Although stress cannot be completely eliminated the following
are things that can be done to reduce stress.
