Pros and Cons of Aviation Life

I'm a recent NCO and decent candidate for Aviator school. I have a BA and a private pilot license. The only thing keeping me from applying to WOC school for flight is not knowing the actually hardships and rewards of a Army aviator. How is the family life?, Day to Day work environment and What are the preferred duty stations? Also, Is there a civilian (oil companies, medically, tour guides) job market after your contract is up with the Army.
