I currently fly in the P-3C Orion for the US Navy as a acoustic operator. I have submitted my WO Package for the May 01 board and am beginning to become a little nervous. Can anyone give me an idea of typical life as a WO aviator? I am married with a child and am concerned that I may be away from home more than in the Navy. Also, how does the orders rotation typically work? How long can I expect to stay at one particular duty station? I appreciate any replies.......can anyone give me the lowdown on WOCS and what to expect?
Thanks....... |

| Depends on what you fly, but it is rewarding in the long haul. You'll spend time away from home maybe years like me, but I'd probably do it all over again to reap the rewards of being an Army Aviator. |
